We are delighted to say that we are able to re-open Bethel for Sunday worship! We plan begin a weekly church service which will take place at 3.00pm each Sunday from Sunday 11th October. I know many of you have been desperate for this news and it will come as a relief. For others it will come with a sense of concern, particularly while (as of the date of this letter) we are still in a local lockdown. There is no pressure or expectation that everyone will want to rush back!

As you might have guessed, there are rules and guidelines that we need to follow in order to open safely and responsibly. Our first concern is the safety of our team and everyone attending.

At present a maximum of 30 people can be in attendance – to make sure this is fair and that no-one arrives unexpectedly or needs to be turned away please make sure you book to come.

You will be able to book between 9.00am on Monday and 5.00pm Friday for the coming Sunday. (i.e. book between Mon 5th and Friday 9th ready for church on Sunday 11th).

Families, guests and newcomers are all welcome to book (please book babies in for a ticket – we can then make sure there is safe space for a pram)

There are two ways to Register:

  1. Visit the Eventbrite website and “Register” for the number of seats you need, on the date you intend to come: https://bethel_bedwas.eventbrite.co.uk
  1. Phone or Text  07517056247 and leave a message.

Please do not book on for anyone outside of your own household.People from separate households should make their own booking.

Places will be reserved on a ‘first come, first served’ basis. If more than 30 people book, there will be a ‘reserve’ list, and will be contacted if a space becomes available. If you book but then can’t come, please call the phone number so that someone from the reserve list has a chance to take your place.

Those who miss out will have priority for the following week. If a visitor arrives, unaware of the booking system, stewards may ask a regular member to be willing to give up their space.

Please be patient with us as we try and manage this bizarre situation!
